Chrysler Voyager background information
Chrysler Voyager is a minivan manufactured by Chrysler Corporation. Voyager sales started in 1988 in Europe. Voyager is an almost complete copy of the Plymouth Voyager and Dodge Caravan. The extended version is called Chrysler Grand Voyager. It also exists in the military version for South Africa with high-capacity tanks with a capacity of 340 and 290 liters.
The basic equipment of the Voyager model varies depending on the model range of the car during 2001-2008. Standard assembly includes: adjustable rear seats with three-point seat belts, airbags for driver and passengers and a CD player. The basic equipment is also supplemented by electrically operated windows and side rear-view mirrors with heating and keyless entry.
The 2001 Chrysler Voyager is equipped with a standard 3.3-liter, 6-cylinder, 180-horsepower engine mated to a 4-speed transmission. It is possible to equip the car with a 3.8-liter 6-cylinder engine with 215 horsepower. Since 2002, the 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine, which is the most powerful in its class, has also become available.
Since 2011 it is also sold in Europe under the Lancia Voyager brand.
