Suzuki Splash background information
Suzuki Splash is an urban car developed within the general concept of “Suzuki – a way of life”.
The Splash concept car was unveiled at the Paris International Motor Show in September 2006. Serial production of the Suzuki Splash began in 2008 in Esztergom, Hungary.
The compact five-door hatchback Suzuki Splash, which replaced the Wagon R, debuted in 2008. The car was made at the company’s Hungarian plant.
The car was sold in the markets of Europe, Japan, China, and in India it was known as the Maruti Suzuki Ritz. Splash also had twin models – Opel Agila and Vauxhall Agila.
The hatchback was designed on the platform of the older Suzuki Swift model, it was equipped with a one-liter three-cylinder engine (68 hp) or a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine (86 hp). The Fiat 1.3 was also installed on the car -liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 75 forces. A four-speed automatic transmission was offered at an extra charge only for cars with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine.
In 2010, Suzuki Splash received an upgraded 1.2 engine with an increase to 94 hp. from. recoil, as well as a slightly updated design.
The model’s closest competitors were the Kia Picanto and Chevrolet Spark hatchbacks.
The production of the Suzuki Splash ended in 2014, and the Suzuki Celerio became the model’s successor in the European market.
