Dodge Nitro background information
The name Nitro was first introduced in 2006 by Dodge to denote SUVs produced under its brand.
The concept car called the M80 was introduced in 2002. Three years later, Nitro was unveiled at the Chicago and Geneva Motor Shows, for sale in the United States and Europe since 2006. The design of the model is based on the same platform as the Jeep Cherokee. It has rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
In appearance, the Dodge Nitro resembles a Honda CR-V or Chevrolet Equinox. And the main competitors of the car are Jeep Liberty and Dodge Journey, but Dodge manufacturers are not particularly worried about competitors, as Nitro has already taken a firm position in the market, thanks to the optimal combination of size and style. The car is built on the Jeep Liberty platform, which has a significant positive impact on the quality of driving and driving Nitro. While driving, the car feels quite powerful and massive. This Dodge is equipped with a 260-horsepower engine that is paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with a sports suspension (and do not forget about the 20-inch wheels), which improves ride quality.
