A little history about BMW X3 F25
The second-generation BMW X3 with the BMW F25 index will be presented at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. Sales will begin in late 2010. The first time under the hood of the car put two gasoline units with a capacity of 3.0 litres. In the atmospheric version, it produces 272 hp, and in the turbocharged – 306 hp. There are also two types of diesel with a capacity of 2.0 litres (184 hp) and 3.0 litres (245 hp). A little later, a new 2.0-litre diesel (201 hp). Transmissions are new. This is a six-speed “mechanics” Getrag and eight-band “automatic” ZF, combined with the function start/stop.
In the 2016 version, the new 2-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine replaced the conventional six-cylinder and received 240 horsepower. Engine efficiency has risen to 10.23 l / 100km on average on premium fuel. This engine provides impressive driving characteristics, but it is not as elegant as its predecessor. The improved car BMW X3 35i, the price of which is higher than the base, is equipped with a 3-litre turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower. A new option for 2015 was a car with an optional 2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine with 180 horsepower. All versions of the X3 have a very soft eight-speed automatic transmission, which shifts frequently, but almost imperceptibly. The manual transmission is no longer used. But it is possible to switch a transfer manually through not so a convenient electric lever. Sport, Comfort and EcoPro modes change gearshift points, but we found that EcoPro mode significantly slows down the power supply.
