Isuzu i-Series background information
The Isuzu i-Series is a midsize pickup truck produced by the American manufacturer General Motors in the United States and Canada from 2006 to 2008. Along with the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Hummer H3, it was manufactured in Louisiana, United States. It is virtually identical to the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, which is also a brand of the General Motors automotive group.
The Isuzu i-Series replaced the Isuzu Hombre (made by GM) in the United States. It was available in Extended Cab and Double Cab. 4 or 5 cylinder engine. Automatic or Manual 5 speeds. 4×2 or 4×4 drive. Sales of the i-Series were low as only 1,377 units were sold. It was discontinued when Isuzu withdrew from the United States in 2008, and the Hummer H3T was built instead.
In the rest of the world, the Isuzu D-Max is marketed with which the Isuzu i-Series shares a platform.
