Isuzu Impulse background information
1st generation • 1983–1989
The first generation Isuzu Impulse sports three-door hatchback was sold in the US from 1980 to 1989. In other markets, the model was known as the Isuzu Piazza. The rear-wheel drive car was originally equipped with a two-liter gasoline engine, later versions with a 2.0 turbocharged engine, as well as a 2.3-liter power unit, went on sale.
2nd generation • 1990–1993
The second generation of the model, which debuted in 1990, was created on a new front-wheel drive platform. Gasoline engines of 1.6 liters (with or without turbocharging) and 1.8 liters were installed on the car. The release of the model ended in 1993.
