Isuzu Giga background information
Isuzu Giga / Isuzu C-Series / Isuzu E-Series are trucks manufactured by Isuzu since 1994.
Outside of Japan, the truck series is called “C” and “E”, respectively, which means Comfort and Economic, respectively.
The first generation
In 1994, the Isuzu 810 was replaced by the first generation Isuzu Giga. Compared to its predecessor, the model received a new cabin and equipment.
In 2007, the Isuzu Giga was upgraded to change its appearance, including the radiator grille.
In 2010, the model received new headlights, bumpers and grille. Now it is distinguished by a massive bumper with solid main optics, a brutal front grille and the presence of a front anti-roll power element under the bumper. It should be noted and an additional steel bumper under the main. It protects the crankcase pallet, attachments for which no standard protection is provided. The engines meet the Euro-5 standard.
The second generation
At the end of 2015, the second generation Isuzu Giga with a completely new cab was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show.
The new trucks are available in the form of 4×2, 6×2, 6×4 wheeled tractors, 8×4 chassis and 4×2 vans. Giga received Isuzu 9.8-liter 6U and 15.6-liter 6W engines from 350 to 520 hp. Moreover, the first engines are equipped with cars with wheel formula 4×2 and 8×4, and tractors are equipped with more than 15.6 liters.
All trucks are equipped with a new generation ZF Ecosplit4 transmission with 16 gears for tractors and 8 gears for chassis.
