Honda CR-Z is a hybrid sports coupe of the Japanese concern Honda, which was presented by the new head of the Honda concern Takanobu Ito in 2009. Production of the model began in 2010 (in Japan – January 25). By the start of sales, 7,000 vehicles had been ordered. Since the start of sales, more than 10,000 vehicles have been ordered, exceeding the company’s assumptions. CR-Z was sold in Japan, USA and several European countries.
In 2016, the CR-Z was discontinued.
A prototype of a hybrid car was unveiled at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.
The car received an exterior in the spirit of the previous cars of the company (Honda CR-X) with a large radiator grille and a noticeably rounded body. The interior was made in a sporty style, which is inherent in the appearance of the car.
The Honda CR-Z is powered by a 10 kW (14 hp) electric motor and a 1.5-liter petrol engine with 114 hp. with .. Transmissions to choose from 2 – a variator (with it the car consumes less fuel) or a 6-speed manual transmission. The car has a front drive. Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 9.7 seconds.
