Citroën C5 Aircross background information

Citroën C5 Aircross is a compact crossover that has been manufactured at the plant in Rennes (France) since 2017. In the manufacturer’s line, the car took the place of the discontinued C4 Aircross.

In 2015, the Citroën Aircross concept car was introduced. The production car was presented at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2017. The model is built on the modular platform EMP2. Like the Peugeot 5008, the C5 Aircross is front-wheel drive with active Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension. And in terms of dimensions, the crossover takes place between the Peugeot 3008 and 5008. Engines are planned petrol 1.2 PureTech (130 hp) and 1.6 THP (165 hp), as well as diesel 1.5 BlueHDi (115 or 135 hp) and 2.0 BlueHDi (180 hp). Depending on the modification, the C5 Aircross is equipped with a six-speed “mechanics” or “automatic” Aisin.

The body can be white, gray, black, red or orange. Airbump contrasting overlays add variety to the palette. The trunk door opens with a “kick” under the bumper. Behind it hides a cargo compartment with a capacity of 482 liters.

The salon is five-seater. The instrument panel is a 12.3-inch display. An eight-inch touch screen is installed in the center. Interesting bifurcated deflectors. There are a lot of compartments for small things and soft to the touch finishing materials, such as Nappa leather.
