Infiniti QX30 background information
Infiniti QX30 is a K1 class crossover with front or all-wheel drive. The world premiere of the model took place at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2015.
The conceptual version of the QX30 was first shown in Geneva 2015, but for a year and a half, until it came to the conveyor version, the compact crossover has somewhat lost its aggressiveness in its appearance. Nevertheless, he remained a very attractive specimen for a young audience. LED headlights, a massive bumper, large exhaust pipes, a panoramic roof, wide wheel arches – all this, of course, is a QX30 to face.
It is important to know that the Japanese company created the QX30 in cooperation with Mercedes-Benz, so it has a lot in common with the GLA. General MFA platform, for example. By the way, the length of the crossover is 4425 mm with a distance between the axles of 2699 mm. Ground clearance varies from 187 to 202 mm, depending on the presence or absence of an off-road package. And a few more figures: the volume of the luggage compartment in the five-seater version of the cabin is 368 liters, and with the rear seats folded down – 1157 liters.
From the wide list of equipment offered for the Infiniti QX30, one can note a multimedia system that can display information on the touch screen that is useful when overcoming light off-road conditions. In such cases, the driver will know the transverse and longitudinal slopes, the angle of rotation of the wheels and the compass readings. When ordering an off-road package, the owner also receives an assistant when descending a mountain and a special mode of operation of the power unit with milder reactions to pressing the accelerator.
The Infiniti QX30 engine range includes both petrol and diesel units. In the first case, this is a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that produces 122 and 156 hp. power, as well as a 2-liter with 211 hp. Diesel units are represented by a 1.5-liter 109-horsepower and a 2.1-liter 170-horsepower. Gearboxes are automatic only – 6-speed and 7-speed dual clutch.
Production of the QX30 has been established at the Infiniti plant in Sunderland, England.
