Infiniti Q40 background information
Infiniti Q40 is a class “D” sedan with rear or all-wheel drive. Previously, the car was known under the name Infiniti G, but was renamed in accordance with the brand’s changed rules for naming models. In the new image, the sedan appeared before the public as a 2015 model.
Having changed its name, the Q40 gained practically nothing in terms of appearance and interior design. If you do not pay attention to minimal adjustments, it is safe to say that this is still the same G, but with different nameplates. Moreover, the above applies not only to design, but also to equipment, and to the technical “stuffing”.
At the heart of the Q40 is the second-generation FM (Front Midship) platform with a double wishbone front suspension and a multi-link rear. On all four wheels, Infiniti engineers installed ventilated disc brakes. As for the equipment of security systems, here, of course, there are a large number of airbags, ABS, ESP, traction control, tire pressure monitoring and much more, which a premium car cannot do without.
Under the hood, the Infiniti Q40 has a 3.7-liter gasoline V6 with a VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) throttle-free mixture formation system, which produces 330 hp. from. power and 361 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission, consuming an average of 12 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. The sedan takes 6 seconds to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h.
