FAW N5 background information
FAW XIALI N5 is a front -wheel drive sedan “B”. The debit of the model took place in 2009 at the Motor Show in Guangzhou.
Since the FAW XIALI N5 is a budget car, the designers of the Chinese company did not spend too much time and effort to create an elegant image, making the sedan simple, with an abundance of straight lines and sharp corners, which are especially visible in the design of the torpedo. This style, however, is quite consistent with the price category of a car that does not claim to be premium laurels.
FAW Xiali N5 is built on a platform with McPherson racks in the front suspension and a double -leaf structure from behind. On all wheels, Chinese engineers installed disc brakes. And if we talk about the overall size of the sedan, then its length is 4155 mm, the width of the car is 1645 mm, the height is 1435 mm. The distance between the axes is 2405 mm, which made it possible to create a relatively spacious salon for its class. At the same time, N5 turned out to be easy. Its equipped mass, depending on the version, is in the range of 905-915 kg.
Depending on the configuration, the FAW N5 can be equipped with a front-line capacity of the driver’s safety, ABS EBD systems, air conditioning, a steering wheel, an audio system with 4 speakers, radio and MP3-player, a central lock, an electric mirror and other equipment. Standards, the car has a dimension of 165/70R13, however, tires 175/65R14 are installed in more expensive versions.
A 1.0-liter engine with a capacity of 68 hp (90 nm), or a 1.3-liter power unit, which issues 91 hp power and 120 nm of torque, can be installed under the hood of FAW XIALI N5. Both motors work in pairs only with a 5-speed manual gearbox, consuming 5.5 liters of fuel per 100 km at a constant speed of 90 km/h.
