Infiniti Q50 background information

Infiniti Q50 is a middle-class sedan manufactured by the Japanese company Infiniti, which in 2013 replaced the Infiniti G.

In Japan, it is sold under the name Nissan Skyline V37.

On January 15, 2013, the Infiniti Q50 was unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show. The car is built on an upgraded platform Nissan FM (front midship), like the Infiniti G37. In the engine range there is an upgraded 3.7-liter V6 VQ37VHR engine with 328 hp, a hybrid version of the 3.5-liter V6 VQ35HR with a total capacity of 364 hp, as well as a 2.2-liter turbodiesel OM651DE22LA with Common rail system 170 hp manufactured by Mercedes-Benz. The car received all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. The sedan went on sale in the spring of 2013.

For the Chinese market, the car gets a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with 211 hp. (from Mercedes-Benz E-Class).

Introducing the car, the Japanese company Nissan, marked the beginning of a new strategy for labeling automotive products, according to which crossovers and SUVs will start with the letters QX, and cars with Q.

In 2020, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto services was added as standard. The four-cylinder engine for the Q50 was also taken out of production.

Infiniti has updated the Infiniti Q50 for the 2021 model year. The sedan received a new set of Sensory. The line of body colors was supplemented by two shades of gray and blue.
