Citroen Jumpy background information
Citroën Jumpy are minibuses that Citroën has been producing in Europe since 1995.
In the UK, Ireland and Australia, it is sold under the name Citroën Dispatch.
Citroën Jumpy I (1995–2007)
The first generation of Citroën Jumpy cars has been mass-produced since 1995 at the new SEVEL joint venture in the south of France, along with identical Peugeot Expert and Fiat Scudo models.
In 2004, the car was upgraded. It differs from its twins in the design of the front. While maintaining the oval-shaped lighting fixtures, the middle part of the radiator grille of the Jumpy model is made in the spirit of larger Jumper vans, in continuation of the development of a single corporate identity. Despite some external differences and a more complete set of additional equipment, the overall design of the van has not undergone significant changes. The car was offered in 15 basic executions with one size of a wheelbase (2824 mm) and one option of the height of an arrangement of a roof (1290 mm). The all-metal body with a capacity of 4 m2 has one side and two rear doors. Break cargo and passenger variants with tinted windows are equipped with additional removable seats for 5-9 people with shelves for each row of seats. They are produced mainly on a long-base chassis (3224 mm) with a capacity of 795 kg, which allows you to increase the volume of the body to five cubic meters.
Citroën Jumpy II (2007-present)
In 2007, the next generation of Jumpy appeared in Europe. The second generation of the model was created through the cooperation of PSA Peugeot Citroen and Fiat. The official presentation took place on November 7 at the Sevilla Nord plant in France in the presence of Mr Jean-Martin Foltz, Chairman of the PSA Group, and Sergio Marchionni, President of the FIAT Group.
The Jumpy compact vein offers more versions than before: two wheelbase length options and two roof height options.
