GMC Acadia background information

GMC Acadia is a full-size crossover from GM.

The first generation (2006-2017)

Acadia went on sale in the United States in December 2006 and in Canada in January 2007. GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave and Saturn Outlook are built on the new GM Lambda platform. Acadia replaces 3 cars: GMC Safari van, GMC Envoy SUV and Pontiac Montana SV6 minivan. In 2009, cars on the Lambda platform replaced the Buick Rainier, Buick Rendezvous and Buick Terraza, and then the Chevrolet TrailBlazer.

Acadia Denali

The Acadia Denali version debuted in the third quarter of 2010 as the 2011 model year. This trim is available in both FWD and AWD versions with seven or eight seats and has a monotonous paint, honeycomb grille, unique front and rear bumpers, xenon headlights, chrome accents, 20-inch wheels with titanium discs and discs. The car is built on the C1XX platform and is equipped with two engines: a four-cylinder 2.5 liter LCV I4 193 hp. and 3.6 liters LGX V6 310 hp 6-speed automatic transmission.
