Buick Enclave background information

Buick Enclave is a full-size crossover created in May 2007 by Buick, a division of General Motors as the 2008 model year.

The first generation

Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Traverse and Saturn Outlook are built on the GM Lambda platform. The Buick Enclave was introduced in 2006 at the North American International Motor Show as a concept car, making it the first car built on the Lambda platform. The Buick Enclave is based in part on the Buick Centieme concept car, which was unveiled in 2003 at the Detroit Motor Show.

The Buick Enclave replaced both the Buick, Buick Rendezvous and Buick Rainier SUVs, as well as the Buick Terraza minivan.

In 2012, the model was updated, changing the appearance and equipment.

The second generation

The second-generation Buick Enclave, built on the C1XX platform, debuted at the 2017 New York Motor Show. The car received a new body length of 5190 mm and 3.6-liter LFY V6 engines with 308 hp, 351 Nm of torque, paired with 9-speed. Automatic transmission and front or all-wheel drive.
