Genesis GV60 background information
Genesis GV60 is a Crossover SUV of the Genesis brand belonging to the Hyundai Motor Company. As a sister model for Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia Ev6, it also uses the dedicated electric car platform Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
In August 2021 Genesis presented with the GV60 after the Electrified G80 the second electric car of the brand. In the model range, the GV60 is positioned below the GV70. Unlike G80 and GV70, it is only available fully electric.
The market launch on the South Korean home market took place in October 2021. The European market should follow in the spring of 2022.
As with the sister models from the Group, an 800 V technique is used for particularly fast charging. The charging time of 10 to 80% is only 18 minutes. For all variants of the GV60, there are the same lithium-polymer accumulator with an energy content of 77.4 kWh. The engine version with rear wheel drive makes 168 kW (229 hp) and has 350 nm torque. With four-wheel drive, a system performance of 234 kW (318 hp) and 605 nm torque is achieved. The Performance Model offers 320 kW (435 hp) system performance and 605 nm torque, which will be increased again in boost mode. The maximum range indicates the manufacturer at 451 km. There are three different artificial driving noises at low speeds.
