Alfa Romeo 33 background information
Alfa Romeo 33 (905) is a small family car that was produced by the Italian car manufacturer, Alfa Romeo, from 1983 to 1995. This model was the further development of its predecessor, Alfasud model, where with minor differences were used by the same chassis, mechanisms and layouts.
For all production, about 1 million Alfa Romeo 33 cars have been released all over the world. During its 11-year-old production, 33 received a small restyling in 1986 and a significant update in 1989. 33 ceased to be released in 1994 and was replaced by Alfa Romeo 145 and Alfa Romeo 146, which used the same opposition engines (“boxers”), but these models have been built already on a completely new platform from Fiat Tipo.
In 1990, a redesign of the model was conducted, and it was precisely that of all-wheel drive cars and alpha romeo 33 became equipped with a 1.7-liter 16-valve engine. Thanks to such a motor, the car develops a speed of about 209 km / h, and overclocking from 0 to 100 km / h takes only 8 seconds. The engine works in a pair with a 5-speed gearbox.
Total 866 958 sedans and 122,366 universals are manufactured.
