Chevrolet Lacetti background information
Chevrolet Lacetti is a middle-class front-wheel drive car (class “C” according to the European classification) created by the South Korean automaker GM Daewoo. Index of factory numbering of the model – J200. It is available in a 4-door sedan body, a 5-door hatchback and a 5-door station wagon.
The model replaced the Daewoo Nubira. The design of the sedan and station wagon was developed in the Italian studio Pininfarina, the hatchback design was created by the Italian studio Giorgetto Giugiaro. The car was introduced in the summer of 2003 and went on sale in 2004.
In 2009, Chevrolet Lacetti and Chevrolet Cobalt were replaced by GM’s new model for all Chevrolet Cruze markets.
At the same time, the 1.6-liter Chevrolet Cruze engine was borrowed from the Chevrolet Lacetti SE after a corresponding upgrade. But another 1.8-liter Chevrolet Cruze engine was taken from the Opel Astra and has nothing to do with the equivalent 1.8-liter engine from the Chevrolet Lacetti SX or CDX.
Since 2013, the market offers a sedan Daewoo Gentra, based on the Chevrolet Lacetti with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 107 hp. from Daewoo Nexia.
