Datsun on-DO background information
Datsun on-Do – a budget front-wheel drive sedan, created by the Datsun concern together with the Japanese company Nissan based on the Lada Granta car (Sedan Body, 2011). Serial production officially started at AvtoVAZ in July 2014.
Especially for this model, gas-filled shock absorbers were developed, it also applied a new vacuum brake amplifier and advanced door locks.
At the end of 2012, Nissan Motor decided to revive the Datsun brand, it was assumed to sell relatively inexpensive cars in the markets of India, Indonesia, South Africa, Russia. For the Russian market, it was decided to create two cars based on existing models of “Lada”. The first of these cars was the Datsun ON-DO sedan, it was officially represented on April 4, 2014.
For 2017, Datsun on-do is held in Togliatti and is present in the markets of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Lebanon.
