Cadillac Calais background information
The Cadillac Calais was an F-segment touring car developed by General Motors under its Cadillac luxury brand produced between 1965 and 1976. It shared styles with its more expensive brother in the same segment, the Cadillac DeVille, which unlike the latter bringing power windows and two-way power seats as standard, the Calais offered crank windows as standard, nor did the Calais offer large leather seating areas and vinyl roofs unlike the model cited above. Nor was the Firemist painting, exclusive to the firm, initially at Calais.
On the second and final generation Calais, included map light, tinted Soft-Ray glass, spare tire cover, windshield washer fluid level gauge, and steel-belted radial whitewall tires until discontinued in 1976.
Notably, the Calais cost more than its equivalents from the same house, the Buick Electra, Buick Riviera, and Oldsmobile 98.
