Cadillac CT5 background information
Cadillac CT5 – middle-class cars manufactured by Cadillac since 2019 and replaced the Cadillac CTS.
CT5 debuted at the 2019 New York Motor Show. Unlike its predecessor, the CTS and the flagship CT6, the CT5 fastback body draws inspiration from the late 1940s Cadillac fastback models. The CT5 went on sale in the fall of 2019 and is available in four trim levels (Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport and V) with an additional semi-autonomous Super Cruise driving system.
The car is built on the GM Alpha 2 platform, and is offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The base model CT5 is equipped with 2.0 liters of LSY I4 with turbocharging, 237 hp. (177 kW) at 5000 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1500-4000 rpm. The CT5 is also available complete with a 3-liter LGY V6 engine that produces 335 hp. (250 kW) and 542 Nm of torque in standard CT5 or 360 hp. (268 kW) at 5400 rpm and 549 Nm of torque at 2350-4000 rpm in the CT5-V version. The only gearbox offered is a 10-speed automatic.
On May 30, 2019, Cadillac introduced the high-performance CT5-V along with the CT4-V.
The CT5 went on sale in the United States in the fourth quarter of 2019 with a starting price of $ 36,895. In Canada, the starting price is $ 41,998.
