The Peugeot 308 suspension combines sportiness and self-discipline with sporty settings. Engineers were able to achieve a middle ground in the settings of the chassis – ensuring a smooth ride, they were able to maintain driver’s excitement from driving. The front suspension is independent, MacPherson, and the rear is a semi-independent, torsion beam. In general, the suspension is energy-intensive, responds to bumps in the road surface with minimal body buildup.
As for equipment, the Peugeot 308 is offered in four equipment options – Access, SR, Active and Allure. The list of standard equipment, depending on the version, includes air conditioning, ABS, ESP, EBFD, EBA, front and rear power windows, six airbags, emergency braking assistance (AFU), on-board computer, CD-player and much more. Also, any of the versions can be equipped with equipment from a long list of options.
According to the results of the crash tests using the EuroNCAP method, the Peugeot 308 received a maximum of five stars for the protection of adult passengers and four out of five stars for the protection of passenger-children.
