Lexus LC background information

Lexus LC (XZ100) – a car of the Grand Tourism class in a coupe body, produced by the Japanese company Lexus since 2017.

The Lexus LC 500 is built on the new GA-L rear-wheel drive platform, as is the fifth-generation Lexus LS sedan. The car with the 2 + 2 landing formula is similar in size to one of the main competitors, the BMW 8 series: length is 4760 mm, width – 1920, height – 1345. Wheelbase – 2870 mm.

The front uses a two-lever suspension with separate levers and a pair of hinges at the top and bottom, at the rear – a multi-link suspension. The main advantage of the new chassis is a power unit shifted by 50 mm within the base and a lower center of gravity. Static weighting is close to ideal: 52% of the mass is on the front axle. The car is equipped with a 5.0-liter gasoline engine V8 2UR-GSE with a capacity of 467 hp. torque of 530 Nm and 10-st. Automatic transmission made by Aisin. Passport acceleration to 96 km / h is “less than 4.5 s”. There is also a hybrid version of the LC 500h with a 3.5 liter 8gr-FXS V6 engine with a total capacity of 359 hp.

In 2021, Lexus added a soft-top convertible / folding convertible body to the LC. Technically, the convertible is identical to the LC 500 coupe, the convertible with a hybrid engine is not available. In addition to the new body type, the manufacturer has added to the color palette of the Lexus LC body with two new shades: green and orange.
