Daihatsu Storia background information
The Daihatsu Storia, who was offered in Europe as Daihatsu Sirion, was a small car of the manufacturer Daihatsu.
A balanced model was offered in Asia as Toyota Duet. The model appeared in Europe at the beginning of 1998, first with a 40 kW / 55 hp 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine. In 1999, the Sirion was added 1.3 Sport; It was driven by a 102 hp 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine. Optionally, four-wheel drive was also available.
At the end of 2001, the until then only moderately successful Sirion got a thorough facelift especially on the front and in the interior. The Sirion 1.0 received the same engine, which was installed in the previously introduced Daihatsu Cuore L7, which now made 58 hp.
At the beginning of 2005 the sale ended in Europe.
