Citroen C-Elysee background information
1st generation, 2008–2014
In 1994, specifically for the Chinese market, the French company PSA made a compact sedan based on the Citroen ZX hatchback. A simple and unsightly car was first called Fukang, then Elysee, and after another modernization in 2008, the car was named Citroen C-Elysee. In 2009, the model appeared in a hatchback version.
The car was equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, combined with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
Production of the first generation of the model ended in China at the end of 2014.
2nd generation, 2012
The compact sedan Citroen C-Elysee has been produced since 2012. Cars are made at factories in Spain and China, and the main markets for the model are the countries of Eastern and Southern Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Citroen C-Elysee was created on the platform of the Citroen C3 hatchback, a similar sedan, differing only in its exterior design, is also produced under the Peugeot brand (Peugeot 301). As a result of the 2017 restyling, the model received an updated design and a new multimedia system.
The car is equipped with petrol engines 1.2 (72 or 82 hp) and 1.6 (115 hp), as well as 1.6-liter turbodiesels developing 92-99 hp. with. As an alternative to the manual transmission, a five-speed “robot” is offered for 1.2-liter cars, and for the 115-horsepower version, at first it was possible to order a four-speed “automatic”, but after restyling it was replaced by a six-speed Aisin gearbox.
