Chevrolet Traverse background information

Chevrolet Traverse is a full-size seven- or eight-seater crossover from Chevrolet.

The first generation

It was first presented at the Chicago Motor Show in 2008, went on sale in October of that year. It is the successor to the Uplander minivan and the TrailBlazer SUV. Until 2009, it was manufactured at Spring Hill, Tennessee, but later began production at the Lansing Delta Assembly, Michigan, along with other GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, in addition to Saturn Outlook – due to the abolition of Saturn.

The body of the car is lined with a unique sheet metal, different from other crossovers of the Lambda platform, except for the door.

The car has 4 configurations – LS, 1LT, 2LT, LTZ and the only 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine with 281-288 hp and 361-366 Nm of torque, which works with a 6-speed 6T75 automatic transmission. The car in a complete set of LTZ, unlike others, is equipped with the engine with double system of an exhaust and therefore develops bigger power and a twisting moment.

The second generation

The second-generation Chevrolet Traverse, built on the C1XX platform, debuted at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2017. The car received a new body length of 5189 mm and engines P4 2.0 l (258 hp, 400 Nm) and V6 3.6 l with 308 hp, 351 Nm of torque, paired with 6-speed . Automatic transmission and front or all-wheel drive. The car received D-Optic headlights with natural daylight.

Traverse 2020 received high reliability ratings based on crash tests. Safety is ensured by the rear seat inspection function, the rear view camera, and the Teen Drive system, which allows you to set a speed and volume limit and control the dynamics. A novelty of 2020 was the belt reminder function. Adaptive safety features include adaptive cruise control, roundabout cameras, collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, rear parking sensors and cross-country warning movement behind.

Chevrolet Traverse offers a trunk capacity of 650 liters. Cargo space will increase to 1635 liters if you fold the third row seats, and to 2780 liters if you fold the second and third rows of seats.
