Chery Tiggo 2 / 3X background information
The Chery Tiggo 2 car is constructed on the basis of a platform of a front-wheel drive car Chery A13. Body, doorways, glazing and roof – all moved from the car model, but the crossover received a different design of the front, enlarged wheel arches, moldings on the sides and railings on the roof. Trunk volume – 420 liters. Alloy wheels are shod in 205/55 R16 tires.
The design was developed by a team led by James Hope, who came to Chery in 2012. The Tiggo 2 was unveiled in April 2016 at the Beijing International Motor Show. In the Chinese market, the car was named “Tiggo 3X“. Sales began on November 16, 2016.
The car is front-wheel drive, front independent suspension type McPherson, on the levers, with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers and anti-roll bar, rear suspension semi-dependent beam with shock absorbers, front disc brakes, rear – drum.
Standard equipment includes: two airbags, ABS, LED running lights, roof rails, on-board computer, air conditioning, heated front seats, radio with two speakers, two-tone combined interior (leather and fabric), power windows “in a circle” . More expensive versions are offered with leather multi-steering wheel, cruise control, tire pressure monitoring, media systems with eight-inch touch screen, rear view camera and so on.
