Brilliance V5 background information
Brilliance V5 is a compact K1 class crossover with front or full drive. The world premiere of the model took place at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November 2011.
It spent two years to develop V5 for the development of V5, taking the platform of its own model 530, but it had to be significantly refined so that the car could be not only anterior drive but also with a 4×4 wheel formula. As the front suspension used the traditional McPherson racks, the torsion beam is mounted behind. The brakes, both front and rear – disc. The steering mechanism is equipped with an electro -hydraulic amplifier.
V5 looks like BMW X1, and it is not surprising because the Chinese and German company is united by many years of cooperation.
The length of the Brillians V5 is 4405 mm, the width is 1800 mm, and the height is 1614 mm. The length of the wheelbase is 2640 mm. It is designed for five passengers. In the standard position of the back seats, its volume is 430 liters, and with folded increases to 1254 liters.
The basic fit of the crossover includes 17-inch wheel disks, air conditioning, electric hosts, audio system with radio, CD/MP3 player and 4 speakers, two airbags, ABS+EBD and other equipment. In more expensive versions there is a system of non -clavial access and starting of the engine, 8 audio system speakers, instead of four, etc.
Under the Brilliance V5 hood, 118-horsepower (151 nm at 4000 rpm) can be installed 1.6-liter gasoline engine, collected under the Mitsubishi license, or 1.5-liter gasoline unit with turbocharging and 136 hp. (200 nm), developed directly by Brilliance experts. It can be aggregated both with 5-speed “mechanics” and with a 5-range automatic transmission.
