Aston Martin DB7 background information
Aston Martin DB7 is a sports car produced by the English car factory Aston Martin, from September 1994 to December 2003. The DB7 was available as a coupe or convertible. It was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1993. The DB7 had six cylinders and replaced Aston Martin V8. The DB7 was the most successful Aston Martin model, with more than 7000 dB7 built before it was replaced by Aston Martin DB9. The DB7 design is Ian Callum’s work, and is considered one of the most beautiful and timeless car designs.
In general, Aston Martin are handmade with aluminum as raw material. However, the step to Aston Martin’s serial production that arrived with this model was a change. Mass production was a challenge for brand engineers. It was necessary to look for a quick and cheap way to make cars without compromising weight. The idea of Corvette was copied and plastic began to be used for DB7. The hood, the bumpers, the frames and the trunk door were made with compound materials.
