Scion iQ background information
The Scion iQ is the American version of the Toyota iQ miniature hatchback. The car is equipped with a 1.3-liter 94 hp engine. With. and a stepless variator. The Scion iQ was produced in Japan.
Despite its compact dimensions (the length of the car is less than three meters, the width is almost 1.7 meters, and the height is exactly one and a half meters), the Scion iQ is not as small in the cabin as it might seem. For example, the distance mm between the center points of the front seats is 710 mm, which, by and large, is quite consistent with a similar indicator even for a C-class car. In addition, the hatchback also has a spacious luggage compartment, taking into account the dimensions, of course. True, in order to transport something more or less capacious (in this case, several bags can be called capacious), the backs of the rear seats will have to be folded. This makes 238 liters. In the four-seater version of the cabin, the trunk volume is only 32 liters.
Concerns about the safety of such a compact vehicle may seem logical. However, the creators of the Scion iQ assure that the structure of its body fully meets the highest requirements that crash test organizations place on this element.
The Scion iQ is built on a platform with McPherson struts in the front suspension and a torsion bar at the rear. As standard, the car is equipped with electric power steering, dynamic stability control and traction control. This is about security. If we talk about comfort, then the Scion iQ buyer can count on air conditioning, a six-speaker audio system, power windows, a leather-covered steering wheel and much more. For a surcharge, the car can be supplemented with all kinds of nets, additional containers for small things, sills, moldings and, of course, different from standard rims.
The Scion iQ is powered by a 1.3-liter petrol engine producing 94 hp. With. power and 123 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm. The power unit works in tandem with a variator, consuming a little more than five liters of fuel to overcome 100 kilometers in the combined cycle.
