Introduced in 2000, the Toyota Echo is a compact sedan for the US market, a replica of the Japanese Toyota Platz. Also under the name Echo in some countries of Asia and Canada, Toyota Vitz / Toyota Yaris hatchbacks of the first generation were sold. The sedan offered in two- and four-door versions was equipped with a 1.5-liter engine (108 hp.) And a manual or automatic transmission. In 2003, the Toyota Echo received an updated appearance.
