Honda Ridgeline background information

Honda Ridgeline is a medium-sized pickup truck with a holding body, manufactured by Honda.

The first generation

The first-generation Honda Ridgeline has been in production since March 2005 as a 2006 model year. The car is manufactured at the Honda plant in Canada, Alliston, Ontario and is designed exclusively for the US market. Equipped with a 3.5-litre V6 gasoline engine with 247 hp VTEC, automatic 5-speed transmission and permanent all-wheel drive.

In 2009, the model was facelifted.

In 2012, the second facelift of the model took place.

The second generation

The debut of the second-generation Honda Ridgeline took place on January 11, 2016, as part of a motor show in Detroit. The second-generation Ridgeline is built on the Honda Pilot platform: McPherson at the front, multi-link suspension at the rear. V6 3.5 i-VTEC Earth Dreams petrol engine (283 hp, 355 Nm) with VCM system (can disconnect two or three cylinders) and start/stop system. All-wheel drive (i-VTM4 system) and front-wheel drive modifications are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
