Daihatsu Feroza background information
Daihatsu Feroza (Factory Index F300) – a three-letter quadruple car of high passage, produced by the Japanese Concern Daihatsu since 1989 to 1998. Feroza is a product of processing Daihatsu Rugger (in an export option – Daihatsu Rocky F7, Daihatsu Fourtrack), produced earlier. Compared to Rugger, Feroza is one and a half times lighter, has an independent front suspension, and a bodies of a cabriolet type with a plastic roof or awning. An option for the Japanese market was called a Rocky F300 or Lovibond, an option for the English market – SPORTRACK, for the Indonesian market – Taft GT.
Frame – staircase type, body bodies – type convertible (metal central racks, door slots, frontal glass frame, arc safety behind), plastic hatch, plastic hatch, metal with glass or soft, metal bumpers, staffing crankcase, transmission, gasobacies.
Until 1992, the Daihatsu HD-C (1.6 l, 86 hp) was completed, after 1992 – Injector Daihatsu HD-E (1.6 l, 95 hp). There was also a version of Bertone Freeclimber II (1989-1992) with an engine BMW M40 1.8 L, 100 hp
The transmission includes a five-step mechanical or automatic transmission switch and a distribution box with a constant (Full-Time, one-stage, with inter-axis differential locks) or with a full drive that is rigidly connected (PART-TIME, with two transmissions (straight and 1.8)) .
The rear bridge stands on sheet springs, front – double transverse levers on torsions, transverse stability stabilizer. Four shock absorber. The most widespread use of rubber – 235/75 R15 (28.9 inches) recommended by the plant – 225/70 R15 (27.4 inches).
The steering control system – a railing rail (transmitting ratio – 18.4), two-circuit brakes (before – ass) with a vacuum amplifier, front disk ventilated, rear – drum, parking brake is installed on the rear wheels.
Due to a small weight, the availability of frames and simplicity of the design Daihatsu Feroza is often used as a platform for an independent structure of an easy-off-road vehicle, which has an outstanding passage. The successful participation of these cars in off-road competitions is noticed, up to category TP3-3.
In 1994, the model was upgraded (factory index F310) by changing the headlights and grates of the radiator and increasing the wheel wheels.
For 10 years, more than 200 thousand cars were released.
