Chery Tiggo 5 background information
Chery Tiggo 5 (T21) debuted at the Guangzhou Motor Show in late November 2013. The new Chery has 4506 mm in length, 1841 mm in width and 1740 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2610 mm, ground clearance is 190 mm. Under the hood of the new Tiggo 5 is a 2.0-liter 132-horsepower engine, which is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or 7-speed. automatic transmission, front-wheel drive only. The car is built on the Chery A19 platform and is equipped with a front independent McPherson strut suspension and a rear semi-independent beam. Later in 2015, it was joined by a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 152 hp. In some markets, the model is called Chery Grand Tiggo.
In Italy, the car is sold since September 2017 under the name DR 6 with 1.5 liter turbocharged engine.
