Chery A11 background information
The Chery A11 / Fulwin (Fengyun) was the first car of the Chinese car brand Chery. The Fulwin is based on the first generation Seat Toledo. The 1.6 liter engine was initially a design adopted from Ford, who used the engine in the Escort. The Fulwin went into production in December 1999 as CAC6340, in 2000 it was changed to the Fengyun name (code name SQR7160). Later, Fulwin was chosen as the international translation of Fengyun. In 2003 the updated version with the name Cowin appeared on the market, but the Fulwin was not taken out of production until 2006. In 2009, the Fulwin 2 was introduced, a 5-door hatchback and liftback which was no longer based on the Seat Toledo.
