Changan CS35 background information

The Changan CS35 is the first SUV by the Chinese automobile manufacturer Chongqing Changan Automobile Company of the Changan brand. The vehicle debuted as a concept vehicle Changan SUV at the 2011 International Automobil exhibition in Frankfurt am Main, the series vehicle was presented in April 2012 at the Beijing Motor Show and was launched in China on October 30, 2012. The CS35 is based on the Changan Eado limousine. In contrast to the Russian or Chilean market, the vehicle was not offered in the Central European market. A facelift for the CS35 was released at the beginning of 2018.

Changan Oshan Kosai 5, introduced in the summer of 2019, is almost identical to the CS35. He received a model maintenance a year later and was sold by September 2021.

At the market launch, the vehicle was available with a 1.6-litre optomotor, followed in autumn 2014 a 115 kW (156 hp) 1.5-liter optomotor.
