Cadillac DeVille background information

Initially, the name Deville was used by Cadillac to indicate the level of interior trim, and then sold a separate model under this name. The first car to bear the DeVille name was the 1949 Cadillac, which was the prestigious interior of the luxury 62 Series coupe. The last DeVille model was built in 2005. The following year, DeVille was officially renamed DTS (which stands for DeVille Touring Sedan, as well as the level of interior trim on earlier models). In total, approximately 3,870,000 cars were produced.
