The Datsun 200SX sports accumulation was produced in Japan from 1975 to 1979 and was sold in the American market. In other countries, the model was known under the name Nissan Silvia (S10). The car was equipped with a four-cylinder engine of 2.0 litres.
The name was resumed in 1974 with the presentation of Silvia S10, also marketed as Datsun 200SX (in the United States of America where a 2.0-liter engine was available) and Datsun 180SX. The car, with rear-wheel drive and front-engine, presented several parts in common with the contemporary Nissan Sunny and had a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder propeller and about 100 hp, always powered by carburettors such as the previous series. The transmission occurred through a 4-speed manual gearbox.
Aesthetically, always compared to the first series, presented a profile in which the rear window was connected with the trunk, obtaining a line similar to that of the Hatchback cars.
The dimensions were increased with respect to the first series, reaching 4,135 mm long, 1,600 mm wide and 1,300 mm high. The step was also increased to 2,340 mm.
This generation remained in production up to 1979, when it was replaced by Silvia S110.
