Chery Arrizo 5 background information

The Chery Arrizo 5 (in the meantime Chery Arrizo Ex) is a notch-rear limousine by the Chinese automobile manufacturer Chery Automobile, which was presented at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2015 and has been sold in China since the beginning of 2016. The vehicle is placed between the Chery Arrizo 3 and the Chery Arrizo 7. In addition to China, it is also marketed in South America, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Before the Arizzo 5 was presented as a series version, two concept vehicles were presented in advance: The Concept Alpha on Auto China 2014 and the Concept Alpha 5 on Auto Shanghai 2015.

Since August 2017, the vehicle has also been offered as an electric car Arrizo 5E. With this, the drive takes over a 90 kW (122 hp) electric motor, which accelerates the sedan to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds. The top speed of the vehicle indicates Chery at 151 km/h, the electrical range is 410 kilometers.

A 1.5-liter otomotor with an output of 85 kW (116 hp) takes over the drive at the market launch. The engine can also be combined with a stepless gear. On March 20, 2017, the Arrizo 5 Sport was a more powerful version with turbocharging.
