Chery Amulet / A15: background information

Chery Amulet (codenamed A15, also known as Chery Cowin or Chery Flagcloud) is a 5-door liftback with a 1597 cc 4-cylinder 8-valve Tritec engine with 94 hp. Manufactured in Wuhu, Anhui, China and Chery Automobile in Russia, Ukraine, Iran and Malaysia. Created on the basis of the first generation Seat Toledo.

The front suspension of the Cherry Amulet uses McPherson struts, and the rear has an independent design with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers on the levers. The front brakes of the car are disc, the rear – drum type.

The volume of the luggage compartment of the car is 420 liters, which allows you to carry quite large loads, and the rear seats will increase its dimensions to 1500 liters.

The basic equipment of Chery Amulet includes air conditioning, power steering, electric windows and mirrors, central locking, fog lights and adjustable steering column.

Since the end of 2010, the car has been updated and equipped with a 1.5-liter ACTECO-SQR477F engine with 109 hp. and meets the Euro-4 standard. The torque is 140 Nm at 3000 rpm.

In the fall of 2011, the debut of the restyled version of Chery Amulet took place in China.
