Chery A1 / Chery Kimo background information

Chery A1 / Chery Kimo – 5-door car class “B”. Manufactured in China by Chery Automobile since 2007. The car was presented in November 2006 at the Beijing Motor Show. In Ukraine, Kimo was shown at the SIA’2007 motor show. The car was created as a successor to the QQ3 model. It is 150 mm longer, 82 mm wider and higher. Kimo has a new 1.3-liter ACTECO engine that accelerates to 156 km / h. This is the second car of the new Chery “line” (the first was Chery Elara), which in Chery belongs to the new generation of cars created entirely in China. Although work on Kimo was carried out in close collaboration with the Chrysler Group, and the design was created by the famous Italian car studio Bertone.

In 2020, a complete upgrade of the model was carried out in conjunction with the American automaker Chrysler Group and the Italian company Bertone. The design and technical equipment have changed.

Chery Kimo is equipped with a 1.3-liter engine with 83 horsepower – that’s enough to travel around the city. The car can be equipped with a five-speed automatic or robotic transmission to choose from. Chery Kimo fuel consumption in 2020 is 6.5 liters per 100 km in urban conditions and 4.5 liters on the highway. This car can easily reach speeds of up to 120 km / h, but runs loudly at high speeds.
