In the American market, both modifications were known under the Porsche brand.
In 1973, instead of the previous two-liter engine, a new one was installed on the car, with fuel injection, developing 95 forces. Production of the Porsche 914 roadster continued until 1976. A total of 119 thousand cars were made, of which only 3.3 thousand had six-cylinder engines.
