Ford Fusion

The presentation of the Ford Fusion was held in 2002 at the Geneva Motor Show. All modifications of the Ford Fusion car with front-wheel drive can be completed with the following engine types: 1.25L Duratec-16V (Sigma), 1.4L Duratec-16V (Sigma), 1.6L Duratec-16V (Sigma), 1.3L Duratec-8V (Rocam ), 2.0L Duratec-HE (MI4), 1.4L Durantor-TDCi (DV) Diesel, 1.6L Duratorq-TDCi (DV) Diesel.

The engine is equipped with a system of distributed fuel injection (for each cylinder separate nozzle) with electronic control.

Clutch – dry single plate. It includes a driven (friction) and pressure plate, which is attached to the flywheel with bolts. Clutch drive – hydraulic with automatic adjustment.

Three types of gearboxes are installed on various modifications of the car: 4-speed automatic, 5-speed manual and automated, built on the basis of the iB5 manual gearbox, but with modified gear ratios in combination with self-adjusting clutch.

Front suspension independent, with gas-filled shock absorber struts, helical coil springs, L-shaped wishbones and anti-roll bar; back – dependent, on longitudinal levers, with cylindrical twisted springs and gas-filled single-tube shock absorbers.

Ford Fusion is ideal for active city driving.
