SINGLE POINT FUEL INJECTION (SPFI) SYSTEM

Relieving Fuel System Pressure

This procedure must be performed prior to servicing any component of the fuel injection system.

1. Disconnect the fuel pump harness at the fuel pump.
2. Crank the engine for 5 seconds or more to relieve the fuel pressure. If the engine starts during this time, allow it to run until it stalls.
3. Connect the fuel pump harness.
