Unplug the high tension wire between the coil and distributor cap.
With the spark plug wires connected, unfasten the distributor cap from the distributor body and place aside.
Use a feeler to measure the gap between the reluctor and pick-up body. The correct gap should be 0.012-0.016 in. (0.3-0.4mm).
If adjustment is needed, loosen the stator screw and use a small screwdriver to rotate the pick-up coil until the air gap is correct. Tighten the stator screw.
Install the distributor cap and high tension wire. Connect the negative battery cable.
