1. Remove the rear gate trim. 
2. Remove the rear wiper motor.
3. Remove the rear finisher light.
4. Disconnect the connector.
• Rear gate opener button harness connector
• Rear lock button harness connector (models with smart keyless)
5. Remove the nuts.
6. Remove the clips, and remove the rear gate garnish.
