1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

2. Lift up the vehicle, and then remove the front wheels.

3. Remove the front exhaust pipe.

4. Remove the front crossmember support plate.

5. Remove the front stabilizer.

6. Disconnect the tie-rod ends from the housing.

7. Remove the front arm.

8. Remove the nuts which install the engine mounting cushion rubber onto the crossmember.

9. Remove the steering universal joint.

10. Disconnect the power steering hose from the steering gearbox. (oil pressure-type)

11. Disconnect the connector and harness clamp from the power steering control module. (electric type)

12. Lift the engine by approx. 10 mm (0.39 in) by using the chain block.

13. Support the crossmember with jack, remove the bolts which secure the crossmember to the vehicle body, and gradually lower the crossmember together with the steering gearbox.
