1. Remove the engine from vehicle. 
2. Drain the engine oil.
3. Remove the oil pan lower.
4. Remove the water pipe securing bolts (A) and radiator outlet hose (B) from the thermostat cover.
5. Remove the oil pan upper by removing the oil pan upper installation bolts in the order indicated in the figure.
CAUTION:
Do not use a screwdriver or similar tool in place of oil pan cutter.
6. Remove the O-ring.
7. Remove the strainer.
8. Remove the O-ring from strainer.
9. Remove the baffle plate.
