INTAKE (INDUCTION)(H4DOTC DIESEL) > Turbocharger

REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Components are extremely hot after driving. Be wary of receiving burns from heated parts.

1. Lift up the vehicle.

2. Remove the under cover.

3. Remove the exhaust manifold (LH).

4. Remove the turbo protector.

5. Remove the air intake duct and intake duct.

6. Separate the following hoses, pipe and connector from the turbocharger.

• Water hose (A)

• Oil balance hose (B)

• Turbo pipe (C)

• Actuator hose (D)

• Turbocharger lift sensor connector (E)

NOTE:

• Have a container ready for draining the engine coolant when removing the water hose.

• Have a container ready for catching engine oil when removing the oil balance hose.

7. Remove the catalytic converter and DPF.

8. Remove the exhaust cover.

9. Remove exhaust cover C.

10. Remove the nuts securing the turbocharger and remove the turbocharger.
